TRENZ is an annual business-to-business travel and trade event where Buyers from all over the globe come to connect, interact and do business with the best tourism operators New Zealand has to offer. Over 250 New Zealand Seller companies attend, representing a diverse range of sectors including accommodation, adventure activities, attractions, Maori cultural experiences, food and beverage, tours, luxury, travel, transport and more.

HOST CITY


In 2017, TRENZ will be hosted at Queens Wharf in Auckland, New Zealand. Auckland is the country’s largest city and boasts world-class shopping, restaurants, bars and galleries, as well as wine regions, modern waterfront precincts by sparkling harbours, gorgeous beaches and pristine rainforest throughout the region to explore.

Industry sessions with the Breakfast Speaker Series and Media Programme presentations

Networking functions including the Welcome Function, TRENZ Bar and Farewell Function

Key Dates & Information


For those of you joining us in 2017, there are plenty of key dates to be aware of leading up to the big event. Here are some of the most important to mark in your calendar as the countdown to TRENZ begins.

Applications open 22 November 2016.


22 November 2016: Invitations sent out and applications open

N.B. International Buyers will be advised of their application outcome within two weeks of applying to attend TRENZ.
New Zealand Buyers will be advised of their application outcome in late January 2017.

20 January 2017: Applications close

27 January 2017: Full and final payment due

N.B. 50% cancellation fee applies for Buyers from this date.
New Zealand Buyers have seven days from being advised of their application outcome to apply full and final payment.


31 January 2017: My TRENZ Zone goes live and appointment requests open (request the Sellers you want to meet with)


7 March 2017: Appointment requests close

N.B. 100% cancellation fee applies for Buyers from this date.


7 March 2017: TRENZ Activity Afternoon registration opens in My TRENZ Zone


15 March 2017: Appointment scheduling opens (review your appointment schedule and fill any remaining meeting spaces)


Mid-March 2017: Accommodation confirmation is available in My TRENZ Zone


6 April 2017: TRENZ Activity Afternoon registration closes


21 April 2017: TRENZ Activity Afternoon experience available in My TRENZ Zone


24 April 2017: Delegates can no longer cancel appointments from this date

N.B. You can continue to schedule appointments up until and throughout TRENZ until the last appointment on 12 May 2017.

 

TRENZ 2017 will take place from Tuesday 9 May until Friday 12 May.


Packages & Passes for Buyers


Accomodation

All Buyers will receive four nights of accommodation with our Official Accommodation Providers, checking in Tuesday 9 May and checking out Saturday 13 May 2017.

Flights

Air New Zealand, Premier Sponsor of TRENZ will provide international Economy flights to New Zealand for selected Buyers. Qualifying Buyers will receive booking information, options to upgrade and full terms and conditions from your local Air New Zealand representative.

 

Apointments:

A 15 minute meeting that can be prescheduled prior to TRENZ or can be scheduled during the event.
