Overview

Monday 24 May - Thursday 27 May 2010
ASB Showgrounds in Greenlane, Auckland.

New Zealand’s biggest city will again be the focus for one of New Zealand’s biggest international business events in 2010.

Experience New Zealand firsthand.  At TRENZ 2010 you will experience New Zealand’s top tourism products for yourself.

TRENZ brings together around 270 international travel and tourism Buyers and a similar number of New Zealand tourism operators for four days of focused business-to-business activity.

Pre and Post famil tours will be available for International Buyers as you register with a great selection of famils and offer the ultimate opportunity in being able to experience New Zealand first hand.

What is new for 2010?

Thorough research and evaluation was carried out with participants in TRENZ 2009 to ensure the event was continuing to meet their needs and to discuss ways to further boost the benefits they receive from attending TRENZ.  Findings from this research will be implemented in the TRENZ 2010 programme.

We are planning a number of brand new innovations for TRENZ 2010 including:

This year we will be showcasing a diverse range of products from the industry which will be available for you to research pre and post TRENZ through this years’ newly created online expo section on the website; the online expo is an interactive space where Buyers and Media can look at, research and learn about the great product at TRENZ; it provides an extension to the traditional online search which provides Exhibitor contact details and company biographies.

As a Buyer you will be able to access the online expo in March via the password-protected zone and can view it post event as well.

Exciting new business networking opportunity at TRENZ 2010 - the Speed Meet

TIA is excited to announce that a brand new business networking opportunity is being introduced to the programme at TRENZ 2010. Following a similar concept to speed dating, Buyers will have very short, face-to-face meetings with a large number of Exhibitors; even those they won’t have full appointments with during the four-day event.

The ‘speed meets’ will be held on Monday 24 May, and are an additional chance for Buyers to make valuable business connections.

New Product

We are delighted to be showcasing 59 new products at TRENZ this year. These new products include first time TRENZ Exhibitors and established operators with brand new products to introduce to you. New product can be viewed once your registration is confirmed by logging in and completing the Online Exhibitor search.

New Networking initiatives

We want to provide you with more time for networking, offering more opportunities to generate new business. You told us that the free time at the start of each day worked really well and allowed you to have extra appointments, so we are keeping that for 2010.

Also the Buyer registration will take place on site at TRENZ this year and you will have the opportunity to walk the floor, familiarise yourself with the expo and catch up with operators in a relaxed and low key manner.

Luxury at TRENZ

As in 2009, TRENZ will have a luxury emphasis. Leading luxury travel and tourism operators are invited to apply for TRENZ and will have the option of being located in the luxury tourism area of the event. Exhibitors specialising in the luxury travel market are showcasing their product at TRENZ – the TRENZ appointment scheduling system offers luxury attendees the opportunity to manage their TRENZ schedule to focus on their areas of interest, ensuring a week of focused meetings.

The breadth of luxury in New Zealand was demonstrated at TRENZ 2009 with almost all previous PURE LUXURY New Zealand Exhibitors either in attendance or represented.
