How do I courier my material to TRENZ?
Transport of brochures and stand display material is the responsibility of each exhibiting organisation. You are able to courier or freight items for your booth directly to the venue. No goods will be accepted prior to 9.00am Friday 4 May 2012. Items that arrive before this time will be returned to the sender by the courier company. This is because the Queenstown Events Centre and Displayworks do not have space available to store Exhibitor goods.

To courier goods to the venue: Mark each item to be couriered with the following details:

  • TRENZ 7-10 May, Queenstown Events Centre
  • Exhibitor organisation name
  • Exhibitor booth number
  • Name of the primary delegate who will be onsite to receive the goods
  • Mobile phone number of the primary delegate
  • Name and phone number of courier/transport company that is collecting the boxes
  • Number and order number of the consignment (e.g. Box 2 of 5)

To courier goods from the venue:
All items left behind for collection by couriers must be clearly labelled and dropped off at the venue office.
Mark each item to be couriered clearly with the following details:

  • Exhibition booth number:
  • TO- Name of organisation:
  • Contact name:
  • Physical address:
  • Contact phone number:
  • Number of boxes:
  • Name & phone number of courier/transport company that is collecting the boxes:
  • Your name & contact phone number:
  • And ORDER number of this consignment

Please note:

  • Any exhibit or material remaining after Friday 11 May at 5.20pm will be treated as rubbish and disposed of accordingly at the Exhibitor’s expense.
  • TIA and the Queenstown Events Centre will not accept any responsibility for goods left on the premises after this time.

Where can I park my car at TRENZ?
The Queenstown Events Centre is easily accessed from the main Queenstown road and has limited onsite parking for TRENZ exhibitor vehicles.

You will need to show your car parking pass to the attendants and display this in your vehicle from Tuesday 8 May to Thursday 10 May. Car parking passes are not required on Monday 7 May.

New Exhibitor Booths and Single Booths receive one pass for the duration of TRENZ.

Car parking passes will be in the primary delegate’s registration pack when they register.

What transport is provided to and from the TRENZ venue and function venues?
Complimentary coach transport will be provided by Johnston’s Coachlines Ltd at designated times to and from the Queenstown Events Centre and TRENZ hotels as well as other function venues during the TRENZ programme.
Delegates are encouraged to use the transportation provided to and from the Queenstown Events Centre more information to follow.

Why does Tourism Industry New Zealand Trust run events?
The trust runs events as a service for TIA’s Members as part of their annual international marketing programmes.

TIA is well placed to impartially work with both public and private sector organisations to:

  • negotiate the sponsorships
  • consider applications from Exhibitors
  • invite Buyers from overseas
  • run the Media and VIP Programmes
  • manage the competitive and sensitive industry issues
  • manage networking social functions
  • put together an exhibition of approximately 330 booths
  • manage the logistical systems and administrative aspects of the event

Where can I find TRENZ Tips?
These will be made available to accepted Exhibitors in the Exhibitor Zone under the TRENZ Tips section and will be updated as the event progresses.

Is the Expo-Guide related to TRENZ?
NO. The Tourism Industry Association (TIA) has received reports from TRENZ Exhibitors that they have been approached by a publication called Expo-Guide regarding listings in an Exhibitors Directory. Please note this publication has no connection with TRENZ or TIA and Exhibitors are under no obligation to respond or make any payments.

The Tourism Industry Association wishes to lead the way in promoting environmental sustainability which follows the principles of the Draft New Zealand Tourism Strategy 2015 that sets out the vision for the tourism sector to take a leading role in protecting and enhancing the environment.

Your TRENZ Booth

How will my new product or New Exhibitor booths are highlighted at TRENZ?
If you have been accepted as a new product or as a New Exhibitor booth, you will be highlighted to Buyers and Media by:

  • being identified as a New Product in the Exhibitor Search available in the Buyer and Media Zones being highlighted in printed materials
  • physical highlighting of your booth onsite at TRENZ

Who can I contact to help me design my booth?
Creative booths are encouraged to reflect your business style and further details are outlined in the Exhibitor Manual which will be available online in the Exhibitor Zone to Exhibitors upon payment of first 50% invoice. Displayworks is TIA's preferred supplier for TRENZ (see contact details here) however you are welcome to use a supplier you currently have a relationship with subject to the entry restrictions below.

Please note: Displayworks has exclusive access to the venue until 9.00am Monday 7 May for building the core stand system infrastructure and set up of signage, business lounges etc. All other display organisations including Exhibitors are granted access between 11.00am-4.00pm , Monday 7 May for booth set-up. When using an alternative supplier please take this into consideration.
