Qantas
Qantas today operates more than 200 flights per week between Australia and New Zealand, including non-stop services between Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Auckland, Sydney, Melbourne and Wellington and Sydney and Christchurch. Year-round weekly services between Sydney and Queenstown commenced in October 2005 and now operate thrice weekly. The airline also connects Auckland with Los Angeles via a non-stop daily service and also provided a daily Qantas connection to and from New York.

Waitomo Glowworm Caves
The development of the Waitomo Glowworm Caves Visitor Centre is nearing completion with the full opening scheduled for September 2010. Tourism Holdings Ltd (thl), the Ruapuha Uekaha Hapu Trust (the Hapu) and the Department of Conservation (DOC) held a blessing and dedication of the Waitomo Glowworm Caves Visitor Centre on Sunday 16 May 2010, the beginning of the journey to the centre’s full opening.
