Media Selection Criteria

To be accepted as a TRENZ 2012 Media delegate, you must meet the following selection criteria:

1. Invited media delegates will receive an official personalised invitation from the Tourism Industry Association NZ or Tourism New Zealand to attend TRENZ 2012. You must then complete the online application form and receive a letter of acceptance from the Organisers.
2. In order to be accepted as a TRENZ 2012 Media delegate, you must also read and agree to the TRENZ 2012 Media terms and conditions.
3. You are directly employed as a journalist, reporter, editor, researcher or photographer or contracted to provide freelance writing, research or photography services for a recognised online, international or New Zealand media outlet
4. You have a demonstrated interest in covering TRENZ and the New Zealand tourism industry, or are able to prove a commitment to increasing coverage of TRENZ and the New Zealand tourism industry. NOTE: Evidence of articles relating to TRENZ or the New Zealand tourism industry may be requested to verify an individual’s qualification to attend TRENZ 2012.
5. You commit to attend TRENZ 2012 for the full duration of the official programme, including all programmed TRENZ networking functions and pre-scheduled appointments with Exhibitors.
6. You are able to speak sufficient English to converse with New Zealand Exhibitors.
7. You will not attend TRENZ 2012 with the objective of promoting your publication or media outlet to New Zealand Exhibitors(including soliciting advertising sales).

Please note:

• Invitations to TRENZ 2012 are specific to the individual and are not transferable to another member of the same organisation, without prior consent from the Organisers.
• Media who do not receive an official invitation and who wish to attend TRENZ 2012 must apply in writing to the Organisers, stating their case for attendance. Additions to the invitation list are not guaranteed and are at the discretion of the Organiser at all times.
• Completion of an application form will not necessarily result in acceptance to attend TRENZ 2012. Organisers reserve the right to reject any application for any reason whatsoever. No correspondence will be entered into regarding acceptance decisions.
