New Zealand (NZ) organisations wishing to attend TRENZ in a Buyer capacity are required to meet the New Zealand Buyer criteria, agree to the Buyer Terms and Conditions as well as complete the online application before Friday 20 January 2012.

2012 Application Process changes

New Zealand (NZ) based companies that meet the criteria for Buyer attendance and are accepted by the NZ Buyer selection panel are invited to attend the event. This process differs from the previous method due to the overwhelming demand annually for the very limited number of spaces available for NZ based Buyers at TRENZ.

Due to the Exhibitor applications closing before the TRENZ Buyer applications open, we ask you to be mindful when considering your wishes to attend TRENZ 2012 in either capacity; as well as consider that due to the very limited spaces allocated to NZ Buyers we cannot guarantee your acceptance as a Buyer.

Despite Exhibitor applications having been closed off, if you are interested in attending TRENZ as an Exhibitor organisation please click here to read more on TRENZ 2012 Exhibitor criteria.

NZ Buyer acceptance is at the discretion of the selection panel at all times. Only one Buyer per company may attend TRENZ in a NZ Buyer capacity. Secondary delegates without an appointment stream may be considering if high demand for that company can be demonstrated through past attendance records.

Applications will be open from Thursday 15 December 2011 to Friday 20 January 2012. Once applications close, a panel of key industry representatives will assess applications and applicants will be notified of the status of their application (acceptance, decline or otherwise) in writing.

Applications will be accessed for attendance and decisions will be based on information included in the application submitted; available NZ Buyer space; whether the applicant meets the NZ Buyer criteria and agrees with the current Buyer terms and conditions. In the cases of oversubscription preference will be given to organisations that:

  • Can demonstrate commitment to further grow tourism/visitors to New Zealand through  current and/or future business growth  initiatives
  • Can demonstrate steady growth through annual turnover
  • Have a track record of high demand from Exhibitors for an appointment during the pre-scheduled appointment requests time at previous TRENZ events
  • Are TIA members
