Queenstown Resort College (QRC) are supporting TRENZ 2012 through providing key hospitality management, adventure tourism management, and snow sport business management students to assist with the event.
Students will be present for the duration of TRENZ (7 - 10 May) at the Queenstown Events Centre.
These students participate at the event on a voluntary basis and are still in training, so while they are available to help, they also attend TRENZ to have exposure to the event and key operators in the tourism industry.
They work alongside the TIA team and will assist with a number tasks crucial to the smooth running of the event
Students can be identified by their QRC business uniforms and name badges.
We appreciate the support that Queenstown Resort College (QRC) is providing us at TRENZ 2012.
Students joining appointments
In order to help students maximise their value at TRENZ and gain a deeper understanding of the tourism industry, we would like to give the students at TRENZ the opportunity to join appointments. We are keen to hear from Exhibitors who are happy to extend an invitation to a student to sit in on your appointments.
The student would be silent during the meeting and would observe what happens during a typical appointment at TRENZ.
All parties involved (the Buyer and Exhibitor that are in the appointment) must agree with this. If at any time during the appointment a Buyer and an Exhibitor needs to discuss confidential matters the student will remove themselves from the appointment.
If you would like to extend the opportunity out to a student to sit in on one of your appointments please contact the TIA events team to indicate your interest. You can send an email to colin.yonge@trenz.co.nz or call on 04 494 1844.
