TRENZ is New Zealand’s biggest annual international tourism event. New Zealand’s leading providers of visitor accommodation, transport, activities and attractions showcase their product to more than 260 international travel and tourism buyers from New Zealand’s major and emerging visitor markets. During four days of focused business-to-business activity, they negotiate business agreements for forthcoming seasons, ensuring New Zealand’s vibrant $9.3 billion export tourism industry continues to grow.

TRENZ also features a substantial international and domestic media programme, promoting New Zealand as a visitor destination as well as the economic importance of the country’s tourism industry.

TRENZ aims to increase international visitor arrivals and/or yield as a result of:

  • Development and increased awareness of new products
  • Development of new markets and business relationships
  • Maintaining established business and relationships
  • Extending the distribution of New Zealand product.

TRENZ returns to the stunning Southern Lakes region in 2012. Based in the internationally renowned alpine resort of Queenstown, TRENZ delegates will enjoy one of New Zealand’s premier visitor regions, a world-leading adventure playground renowned for its awe-inspiring landscapes.

Can anyone attend TRENZ?

No. TRENZ is a closed trade event and admission is available only to pre-registered and approved international Buyers and Exhibitor delegates.

What is the format?

As a closed event for highly qualified invited guests with a sophisticated pre-scheduled appointment system, TRENZ is a business-to-business event. However, the TRENZ programme also features a range of networking opportunities including the welcome function, Regional Rendezvous and TRENZ farewell.

TRENZ is a 4 day programme with a total of 51, 15 minute appointments with 5 minutes between each appointment to allow Buyers to move to their next appointment.
