Media invited to TRENZ are directly employed as journalists, reporters, editors, researchers or photographers, or contracted to provide freelance writing, research or photography services for recognised online, international or New Zealand media outlets. They have a demonstrated interest in covering TRENZ and the New Zealand tourism industry, or are able to prove a commitment to increasing their coverage of TRENZ and the New Zealand tourism industry.
Domestic Media Participation
The Tourism Industry Association New Zealand (TIA) will invite a strong contingent of domestic media representatives from around New Zealand to attend TRENZ 2012. Domestic media are invited to research and produce articles that help grow the profile and demonstrate the economic importance of tourism to the New Zealand economy.
International Media Participation
The international media representatives who attend TRENZ 2012 will be selected from New Zealand's key tourism markets around the world. While at TRENZ they will research and produce articles that help grow the New Zealand brand, and inspire more people to visit New Zealand.
Tourism New Zealand will target international journalists from the UK, USA, Canada, China, South Korea, Germany, Japan, Australia, India and Thailand to attend this year’s event. Tourism New Zealand Media and PR representatives from around the world will also participate in the TRENZ 2012 media programme.
