
TRENZ CRITERIA
The continued success of TRENZ and the TRENZ Connect platform is driven by the quality and engagement of all participants. To ensure this is maintained, TRENZ has clear criteria for attendees. Please read below for information on the relevant criteria for your business.
Seller Criteria
To be accepted as a TRENZ Seller, your company must demonstrate to Tourism Industry New Zealand Trust (Organiser) that you meet the selection criteria.
The TRENZ selection panel assesses all applications against these criteria. Meeting the selection criteria will firstly give you access to list your business on TRENZ Connect, our online platform that you are able to use 24/7/365 to market your business and make connections with International trade buyers also on the platform.
Meeting the criteria however, does not guarantee acceptance at an in person TRENZ event, as demand for participation may exceed availability. Preapproval may be offered to Sellers that have previously attended a physical TRENZ and have already been approved by the selection panel.
Buyer Criteria
To be accepted as a Buyer (international and New Zealand buyer) at TRENZ, your company must demonstrate to Tourism Industry New Zealand Trust (Organiser) that you meet the selection criteria.
All buyer applications will be assessed and qualified by our industry partners including Tourism New Zealand (TNZ) and Air New Zealand (Air NZ). Our industry partners may also invite pre-qualified International buyers to register for the TRENZ programme who automatically meet the criteria.
Tourism Services Criteria
Participating in TRENZ Connect or the physical TRENZ event as a Tourism Services business is an exclusive opportunity for organisations servicing the tourism industry to promote products and services to TRENZ delegates.
Examples of Tourism Services are:
• Print, broadcast, and interactive media
• Systems and technology solutions
• Advertising and public relations
• Souvenirs and merchandise
• Research consulting
• Marketing systems (SEO/SEM, email campaigns, social media, web design)
• Education and training
• Distribution channel management
• Revenue and reservation systems.
The TRENZ selection panel assesses all applications against the criteria. Being accepted as a Tourism Service on the TRENZ Connect online platform does not guarantee acceptance as an exhibitor at a physical TRENZ event. Acceptance at a physical event will be subject to availability. In the event of restrictions around capacity, priority may be given to businesses that have previously exhibited at TRENZ events.
