TRENZ 2024

In 2024, TRENZ is being held in Te Whanganui-ā-Tara Wellington for the first time in 2024. This will be a significant opportunity for the industry to showcase their products and services to high-quality international and New Zealand Buyers and influential international and New Zealand travel trade and tourism Media. The focus of the event is relationships and experiences, with numerous opportunities to do business, network, and showcase/experience products firsthand.   

TRENZ CONNECT 

TRENZ Connect is an 'always on' platform for facilitating tourism trade relationships internationally. It is a digital marketplace for New Zealand travel trade, allowing connections and relationships to be developed and maintained and up to date trade information to be shared 24/7/365.   

The COVID-19 pandemic showed us the value of digital platforms as a way for people to connect when they are unable to travel. While New Zealand borders were shut and in-person events were not going ahead, TRENZ Connect was developed to fill the gap. It was created in partnership with Tourism New Zealand and with funding from the Ministry of Business, Innovation, and Employment. 

How does it all work together? 

TRENZ Connect was built using world class technology and has been designed with further development in mind. The base platform of online profiles and product showcases has been live since September 2021 and the first virtual appointment-based events were held in April 2022.  

Further development aligned the online platform with the in-person event, creating a single login, all inclusive TRENZ platform. The benefits of this all-in-one platform include: 

  • event registration and management such as appointment matching through one system, meaning a streamlined user journey for all company delegates, whether they are attending the in-person event or not
  • more flexibility for multi-tiered companies to manage multiple company profiles
  • profile information updates in one place only at any time through the year, and a purpose-built profile that can be  kept up to date and used for trade activities year-round
  • the ability to directly build connections and review attendee information ahead of events
  • Device responsive

The registration and appointment matching processes for TRENZ take place through the TRENZ registration portal via TRENZ Connect. 

All companies using the platform need to meet eligibility criteria

All companies attending TRENZ 2024 will require a TRENZ Connect profile.
